BEEF SUKIYAKI

 

1 extra large onion, sliced

1 cup celery, sliced thin

1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2 cup water chestnuts

1 can bamboo shoots

1 package spinach

1/2 cup green onions, sliced

1 sirloin steak

1/2 cup oil

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup sake

1 teaspoon sugar  

Cut meat in very thin strips, 3"-4" in length, while still partially frozen . Heat oil in skillet. Add meat and garlic salt. Cook 2 minutes and remove to warm plate. Cook onion slices, then add rest of vegetables,(except spinach) plus soy sauce, saki and sugar. Return meat to pan and add spinach. Cook 1 minute. Serve with steamed rice
