CHOCOLATE SNOWBALLS

 

Sift together:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk

Cream butter with brown sugar until light. Beat in melted chocolate, egg, vanilla and milk. Sift in dry ingredients a little at a time. Makes a stiff dough. Chill overnight or until firm. Roll into marble sized balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 8 minutes or until tops are crackled. Roll in powdered sugar while still hot. Roll again in powdered sugar when cool.
